“I had the pleasure of attending one of the Supper Club that Ivy House run for their clients. I think the idea of putting on such a social event for folk with dementia and their families demonstrates Ivy House core belief that an effective way of helping people both manage the illness and delay its onset is to maintain the sort of events – such as a dinner out – that they would have frequently attended in the past but, perhaps, have dropped because of their illness. It was a lovely evening, the food was excellent and the passion and commitment to supporting people with dementia in continuing to lead active lives is in the very fabric of Ivy House and all the staff who work there.
